The $5 note has a rarity value of 2 and the $10 has a rarity value of 3. These notes are sought after by collectors of Americana due to the central vignette on the $5 note which shows slaves picking cotton with an overseer on a horse keeping a watchful eye. The vignette on the lower left of the $10 note is also found on other notes.

The note is from Bank Of America, New York and dated June 1, 1861. According to Haxby, Bank Of America, New York operated from 1812 - 1928 and had an unknown fate.
DeleteYour note appears to be Haxby NY-1435 G126b or NY-1435 C126b. Haxby lists G126b as SENC (Surviving Example Not Confirmed) and prices C126b relatively inexpensively for 1988 when the book was released. So apparently Haxby NY-1435 C126b is a relatively "common" note and most likely is the one you have.
Hope this helps.
